My mommy's old blouse!

I have finally finished exams, so yeah, I'm back into sewing again! Finally. Which also mean I have time for blogging too since I abandoned it but I'm sure you can understand why. Exams have to come first :D So, I found this piece in my mom's old closet. And I'm emmm, not liking it. Instead, I'm loving it! As soon as I see this blouse, I knew exactly what I'm going to do wit it. I'm gonna make it (should I say ALTER it ) my vintage blazer/jacket.

Mommy's blouse : It's maroon and it's beautiful. The fabric sorta thick but soft. Got collar. And, it's big! -_-

So, here's what I'm going to do :
1. Get rid of those collar.
2. Put pads on both shoulders
3. Resize it into my size. (i'm kinda small)
4. Adding a few buttons on the opposite side (sew across the holes)

So, finally, it looks like this!

Buttons on both sides

(Totally ignore the poses, please? Am not good at it -_-)

DONE! :)

With Love, Hanim xoxo

It's been so long

It's more than a month since I abandoned (I kinda was) my blog. I've been very very VERY busy. With assignments, assignments and assignments. Even now, am on my Final Exam Weeks. Yes, WEEKS. I took a little time to write my mumbles here. So, I might not write post for the time being, cos I'm in the war.

My final exam's timetable. My last paper would be on June 12th.

My noticeboard on my desk in my room :)

You see, you'll found my final exam's timetable there, my Weekly Budget (Yup, I am very precise in every penny I spent. Well, that's what accountant do. They'll make a list of EVERYTHING that involves money),  pictures, my lectures schedule, laptop, notes, and yeah, a packet of Garnier mask, just to remind myself that I need to pamper myself sometime. :)

Who doesn't love Ugly Betty

Seriously, dude, I missed watching The Ugly Betty. I've been watching this show since Betty (America Ferrera) wearing Ponchos to the Mode office as her first day working(Series 1) and till she opened her blue-ish braces and got job at London (Series 4). Ever since that, I've been VERY inspired by how the bright color, retro, metallic, modern fashion has been combined together and make a superb-awesome style ; like I never wear metallic color before but since Amanda (Becki Newton) wearing these bright orange (kinda) jumpsuit really opened my eyes. It's freakingly awesome!! The people who responsible with the costume making of The Ugly Betty are Eduardo Castro and Patricia. A big applause for them. BRAVO!

Besides, the characters are so fascinating me. Other that Betty and Amanda, Willemina Slater (Vanessa Williams), Claire Meade (Judith Light),Marc. St. James (Micheal Urie), Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius), Hilda Suarez (Ana Ortiz), and Justin Suarez (Mark Indelicato) are the beats of this show. They made this show became more and more alive! And as I recall, there's a few celebrities appeared on this show, such as Adriana Lima, very own Vera Wang, Lindsay Lohan, Nikki Blonsky, Salma Hayek, Genes Simmons, and i-dont-know-who-else :D

HAHAHAHAHA I remembered this part. It's so funny!

Betty is leaving. And everyone's gonna missed her!

SEE?! This show was like the bomb. It's about family, friendship, relationship, fashion, how it's like working at fashion industry (Mode Magazine) like, it's so great! Who doesn't love The Ugly Betty. And yeah, I got this photos from here and here. :)

Muama :'( I miss youuuuuuu!

*sigh*

I haven't seen Muama for a while, ya know. He's been very busy with his job. He traveled all over Sarawak (yeah yeah I know that's not far, but still, I hate being apart from him, okay?!) with their production because he involves in some music video filming that needed him to travel for at least 20 days (well, that's what they said).

I'm home alone, like always. No one to talk too. Neither calling nor texting him right now, cause he's in the middle of filming but geez I missed him!

Urgghh! Like, there's nothing I can do right now, except waiting for him to call me whenever he's done with filming. So, what's now? Listening to music and Blogging, and Facebook-ing.

P/S : I Love Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, Sayang!  =)

2011 Tsunami hits Japan

Hey earthlings!

As we all know, yesterday, a massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the pacific ocean nearby the northeastern Japan around 2:46PM that caused damage with blackouts and set off a tsunami. Witnesses stated that the quake were last for several minutes. I was at home yesterday when I found out about this disaster in the news, I am freakingly jaw-dropping. The news showed that the cars, houses and buildings were swept away by water. What about the people in Japan? Are they safe? Well, hundreds were killed by this deadly tsunami. :(

A tsunami warning had been issued for Russia, New Zealand, Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Hawaii, early evening yesterday. Oh God! Pray for Japan and other countries.

Image are uploaded from The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center

Japanese are hard working, they're brilliant people who strives for the highest ideals in technology and engineering on the planet. Their innovations and technology advancements have made our life a lot better for millions around the world. Now. it's time for us, people, to help Japan to return the favor, and as a human with our humanity. We are one world. :') I hope the Japanese can use their skills and knowledge to salvage what's left and rebuild their awesome and superb country, and be strong.
God bless Japan!

The worst week ever :'(

Unlike my other post, I wrote and wrote a veryyyyyyyyy long essay about almost-everything. But in this post, I won't write long. I am not in a good mood, either.

Something really bad happened last night, and I just can't get over it. So, I turn to Adibazli Affendi last night, who is my bestfriend, about what had happened, he then said to me, "music is the cure for pain". (I'm at home last night and we're 'talked' on ym) So, he said, "here, listen to this songs. It'll helps you calm".

Buddy Holly - Dearest
John Mayer - Come Back To Bed

He then said to me (which has made me feel a lil bit better. Thank you so much, bro),
"Even if you're doing something good with the hope things would getting better, shit will still happen. Cause that's life. You don't usually get what you want. So stop blaming yourself for what had happened. Plus, you knew that your intention was good. "

This is how I feel

Have you ever felt cheated? By someone, someone you love more than you loved yourself. Have you? Well, I do. It hurts me like hell. And ALL of my girlfriends said I was so stupid. Stupid because stayed in a relationship with HIM after what he done. But, I don't care about what people gonna say about it. I don't think I'm stupid for standing and staying for what I really love and really care. He do make me happy. And I don't regret for what I believed. So, girlfriends, I know you care a lot about me, thanks but SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP SAYING THIS AND THAT! I know myself better. I know what's best for me.

Every relationship will face this problem with their lover (So there's no need for you to call me 'stupid'). Especially at the beginning of the relationship, whereas both of you are in the process of building the trust on each other. Nang pembulak lah nak, mun ktkorg madah gerek ktkorg tek terus kinek-kinek cayak 100% ngan ktkorg time baruk gerek. So, sik mustahil bah gerek ktkorg nak curang ngan ktkorg nak?? Nothing is impossible. You know, when this shit happened, my self-confidence was like taken a battering, and I just need HIM and people to understand, what it's like walking on my shoes. I am not stupid for giving him another chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. Isn't it? A chance for him to explain why he was being unfaithful to me. And he was sorry and swears not to do it again. If I want the relationship to work, I have to believe him. I know, I don't trusted him like I used to, but I want to give it a try, to learn to trust him again. I've got hurt, and I'm questioning about it a lot. Tonnes of questions that needed its answers. Then, when I got my answers to my questions when he explained his guiltiness, I must accepts and try to not bring it up again. Because if I want to heal, I have to lay 'it' rest. Got what I mean?

I know, he loves me. Probably as much as I love him. And I believed, I can make this things work even if it's not easy and it takes a lot of effort. I'm stronger each day, so there's no reason why people should called me 'stupid' just because I stood up for what I loved. It's bullshit, girlfriends. I know my relationship wasn't perfect, but hey, yours weren't either. It's not that I'm not taking your advices but it was just too much and I had enough. Stop being sarcastic to me, sekda urang muji bah.

My DIY Vintage Skirt

I always wanted to make something 'VINTAGE'. This is my very first DIY vintage skirt, so I'm kinda excited about it. Hehe. I bought this gorgeous floral print fabric at my nearest local store, and went home and working out with my sewing machine. :D here's some photos of me making and sewing the skirt.

This is the fabric that had been cut with my desired length.

My waist-length thick black elastic

The fabric & the elastic were folded half, & the fabric was 1.5 times the length of my waist

I sew the seam of the skirt

I set my sewing machine on a zigzag stitch

Stretch the elastic to create a slight gathering effect

Then, tadaaaa~ it's done!

It's very easy. Easy as ABC and 123!
