Sewing and Altering againnnnn!

Okay. Here's the thing. Since I was so damn bored on the last Sunday, whereas I do not have any planed to hang out with my besties unlike my any Sundays; but yet, still have time to work something out with my Siriano ; the sewing machine. Haha yeahhh I named my sewing machine after Christian Siriano cause he's inspired me ALOT. So, I found this pants (which, I seriously do not know its belong to whom) in my old closet. I do love the color, and the fabric but I don't see ''it'' as a pants. I mean it suppose to be A short shorts. :D So, me and my Siriano are going to alter it from pants to a high waisted short. So guys, do take a look :

That's me, wearing the pants.

  1. I put on the pants and I lifted it a bit as I'm going to make it as a high waisted.
  2. While I'm lifting the pants up to the upper belly, I pinned them to determine how much excess fabrics on both sides I want to remove. To make it easier, I turn the pants inside out to pin and marking them.
  3. Next, I sew both seam along the marked until it attached back with its original sewing, like the pictures below.

   4. Now using scissor, I cut out the marked excess fabric, after sewing. After that, I made mark on the pants (which the marked is on my upper knee) that will be cut so that it will become shorts.

Then, I folded both legs that have been cut. But I ensure both folded part are the same and balance. Now, wallaaa~ It's done! High waisted short. It's quite vintage-looked, actually.

P/S : I don't have a chance to take a picture of me wearing my altered high waisted short due to my busy college's schedule. But I'll make sure I take a picture of me wearing this high waisted short and upload it soon. Okay then, see ya!
